💍🤍🕊️ On 26 April, Research Fellow Dr Nikolai Kazantsev and Ms Alice Mumford (St Antony’s College, Oxford) celebrated their wedding reception at Clare Hall, surrounded by close family and friends from all the continents except for Antarctica.

Nikolai and Alice shared: “We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped create such a warm, welcoming, and memorable day, and we hope that many more marriages in Clare Hall will follow in the years to come!”

🎹 Join us at Clare Hall on Saturday 23 May for an evening of extraordinary piano music with acclaimed pianist Tyler Hay, celebrated for his imaginative and insightful programming.

The recital features Anton Rubinstein’s rarely performed Piano Sonata No. 1, a powerful and dramatic work by the composer once considered Liszt’s greatest rival, alongside Liszt’s monumental Sonata, one of the masterpieces of the piano repertoire. Elegant waltzes by Chopin and Liszt complete a rich and varied programme.
