University of Kent High Altitude Balloon Project Launching students science payloads to the near edge of space for minimal cost.

The University of Kent has been involved in previous space missions and a previous balloon launch. Space missions require long term investment both in time and money balloon flights do not. Most students do not generally get the opportunity to partake in these types of projects therefore the High Altitude Postgraduate Experience was created to launch postgraduate students' science payloads to the

near edge of space for minimal cost. This project brings together many students for an opportunity of research and social networking across all academic arenas.
