CCCU Sustainability Home to the Academy for Sustainable Futures and Student Green Office at Canterbury Christ Church University

CCCU Sustainability is the official channel for Sustainability at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent. It is home to the Academy for Sustainable Futures and the Student Green Office (SGO) at Christ Church. We engage with students and staff at Christ Church, and aspire to greater collaboration and engagement with our local community and shared heritage, and between the lot of us we run vari

ous engagement initiatives, projects, events, campaigns and more throughout the year. We hire some of Christ Church's own students into paid roles within the SGO each year, and work with many more students through module collaborations, work experience placements and volunteering roles. Join a supportive team where your sustainability passion projects guide the work! Interested in fast fashion? Sustainable Food? Saving the whales? Housing poverty? Join us at the Student Green Office!

Are you a current or incoming student? Do you care about the environment, or social justice, or where your food or clothes come from? Then you might be a good fit to join our team!

The Student Green Office is a paid, part-time role that fits alongside your studies and allows you to undertake sustainability passion projects! Improve your writing! Learn how to run an event! Lead a project or campaign!

No experience necessary, but we'd love to see a willingness to try and an interest in learning new things!

Our Student Green Office has been shortlisted for a Green Gown Award!

The development of the Student Green Office has been massively central to our sustainability engagement at , and as we go into our 14th year, the ongoing SGO project has been shortlisted for the Student Engagement category of the 2026 UK & Ireland Green Gown Awards!

WE ARE HIRING AT THE STUDENT GREEN OFFICE!

Do you have an interest in sustainability? The environment? Biodiversity, climate change, social justice, sustainable clothing, agriculture, saving the whales? We're looking for SIX NEW STUDENT GREEN OFFICERS to join us this September at CCCU!

The Student Green Office is a great opportunity to build workplace skills and experience, all while raising awareness for your sustainable interests (whatever they may be!) and getting paid! The role is flexible, 6 hours a week, term time only, and fits easily alongside your studies.
