Employability Points Scheme

Employability Points Scheme Welcome to the University of Kent's Employability Points scheme page. This then allows students to build on the skills valued by employers.

You will find below updates relating to employability and general updates about the Scheme. The main purpose of the Scheme is to offer recognition for any type of extra-curricular activity that students have been involved with during their time at the University of Kent. We give students points for engaging with extra-curicular activities during their time at the University of Kent, which then lea

ds to prizes and work experience with our sponsor companies. We therefore help you identify and understand why you are gaining various skills (without always even realising it!), which then makes it much easier to write an effective CV, make a great impression during a job interview, and generally easily sell yourself to employers! The Employability Points Scheme was created to reward student engagement in employability skills training – such as interview skills and careers seminars – within the University, as well as wider experience such as part-time work, intern-ships, volunteering and international study.

Our Story

The Employability Points Scheme is an University of Kent initiative which encourages students to undertake co-curricular activities and rewards this initiative with experiences of work!

We give students points for all co-curricular activities, whether that is joining a society, organising an event, volunteering, running in an election, working part-time, and much more.

Students can cash-in these points to apply for exclusive rewards, which include paid summer internships, work experience, training, vouchers and much more.

The EP Scheme therefore helps students develop work-ready skills through engaging with co-curricular activities and rewards this with essential work experience!
