After graduating with an LLB this July, Mohamed Ali joined the team as a Public Information and Relations Officer and shared how his studies at KLS helped him secure the job.

"Kent Law School doesn’t limit its teachings to the law. It attempts to undertake a subjective point of view such that the students can connect the law with the current issues of our time. Students can expect a high degree of practicality in whichever module a student takes. Additionally, KLS's approach equips its students to be major critical thinkers who connect the law to all walks of life. I believe this has helped me the most in gaining my current job, and I will continue to assist in the future in everything I do.

Working in the Kent Law Clinic helped me tremendously to gain the required patience to pursue a research career. Most of the time, students research for essays and exams during Uni, and being patient while scouring the internet is a skill one needs to learn."

What an amazing student Kaaya has been. He even made time on his graduation day to chat about his student journey with us to share with new students. https://lnkd.in/egH2UniD

You know it's a special moment when 16 family members fly across the world to join you on your graduation day! 🗺️

That was the case for Kent Law School graduate, Kaaya, whose parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all made the journey to Canterbury Cathedral last month.

Kaaya's Mum, Suzanne, said: "He's the first son and grandson to graduate. It's such a proud moment because it's been a long journey but we're very, very proud of Kaaya. That's why all 16 of us have come from all over the world to share this special day with him." ❤️

It's Wednesday afternoon, which means academic-free time for students to pursue extra-curricula activities.

We sat down and chatted with Baba Ige, a Kent Law School student in his second year, celebrating his success in polo (and with the University of Kent Polo Club), his new role as President of the Kent Nigerian Society, and of course about his life at KLS.
