Hi! If you're new around here - we're The Gathering, an inclusive church for all. We are a gathering of people from the LGBTQ+ community (and their allies) who love to talk about and share our Christian faith.

We're passionate about cultivating our ever growing community and modelling a church that truly serves q***r people. Our favourite thing to do is meet on a Sunday evening in Cardiff. Here we take time to talk, drink tea, worship God and just be together. We'd love to see you there!

We meet at City URC, Cardiff every Sunday evening from 19:00-20:30 (although sometimes we overrun!)

We know that coming to a new city and trying to find a church is a massively daunting thing to do. We know that crossing the threshold into a place of worship, no matter how much it's covered in rainbows, is a really hard step to take. Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey with q***rness and with faith, we would love to walk with you and be a safe place to land.

If you've got any questions - please ask! Our website and some helpful info about our church services can be found here: https://www.thegatheringcardiff.org/helpful-info

So sorry to share that one of our chaplaincy dogs, Dave the Beagle, died yesterday after a short illness. He was a frequent visitor to the chaplaincy and came along to the dog walk on Wednesdays, always pulling at the lead to sniff a lamppost! He is sadly missed.

A very sad post this one. We lost our lovely Dave this week. He had the best weekend in one of our favourite places. This is the last photo I took of him and if you zoom in you’ll see he is smiling. He became poorly and very quickly we and the vet knew we couldn’t get him better. He loved dearly and will continue to be dearly loved. I wanted to let you all know. Thanks for sharing in the love of our Dave - I know it means you understand. May we live our best lives. May we love. May we be loved ❤️
