The School is a thriving centre with an excellent reputation in world leading research and in the quality of our professional training, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. Our students are taught by some of the leading scholars in their fields who act as advisers to international bodies, the UK and European parliaments, the Welsh Government and many other public and private sector organisat

ions including the NHS, local authorities and third sector organisations. Through these relationships, our students are assured of a social science education that is informed by close engagement with changes in politics and society. We are able to support our students in gaining work experience through internships, placements and other training opportunities that enhance personal development and career prospects.
