Also known as Bijoy Dibos, Bangladesh Victory Day is celebrated on December 16 every year. The occasion commemorates the victory of the Bangladesh and Indian forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, during which close to three million Bangladeshi were killed, while 10 million were made refugees. Bangladesh celebrates its Independence Day on March 26, but that is when the atrocities of this war began. It finally ended nearly nine months later, on December 16 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩 #1971

Join us at one of our biggest events of the year, everyone's favourite, Games Night!! 😝

We'll be switching it up this year with a Squid Game inspired games night with a very special collaboration with 👀

🏆 Compete against each other in teams to win amazing prizes for all!

🍕 Complementary pizza and drinks will be served at the venue.

💸 Tickets will be £2.50 for members and £5 for non-members.

Thank you to those who came, we had so much fun and hope you did too! Worked up a real appetite after lots of games and we all got some freebies/free food after too, thanks to the Talybont Food Festival hosted by !

Anyone meeting at the SU please meet at the FRONT by 5pm (the main university building should be in front of you)

A massive THANK YOU to all those who took the time to stop by our stall and meet us! We hope you have received a warm welcome from all committee members. We are very excited to get this year year started.
