On the 19th of January, our first meeting of the year, we had the pleasure of raising Bro. Kieren Chadwick to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.

The evening was made even more special as it was held on a Past Masters’ Night — something we have not done in Legiolium for quite some time — and it was wonderful to see so many Past Masters in attendance, lending their support and experience to the ceremony.

Congratulations, Bro. Chadwick, on reaching this important milestone in your Masonic journey. We wish you every success, fulfilment, and enjoyment as you continue your progress in Freemasonry.

The Lodge was delighted to hold the Installation Meeting of W.Bro. Andrew Scarfe on Monday, 20th October 2025 — a wonderful evening of ceremony, fellowship, and Masonic tradition.

We were honoured by the attendance of W.Bro. John E. Vause PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and W.Bro. Ian N. E. Lewis, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, along with a delegation from the Company of Past Provincial Stewards.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a £1,542 cheque to the Province in support of the 2028 Festival.

Warm congratulations to W.Bro. Scarfe on his Installation and best wishes for a successful year ahead!

Following the historic 150th Anniversary Meeting held on the 30th of August, a moment of particular distinction was conferred upon one of our Brethren. On that auspicious occasion, the Provincial Grand Master was pleased to promote W. Bro. Fred Knowles, PPJGW, to the esteemed and senior rank of PPSGW.

In the photograph below, W. Bro. Fred is seen proudly adorned with his new badge and jewel, presented to him personally by the Provincial Grand Master.

This honourable preferment serves as a fitting recognition of W. Bro. Fred’s many years of loyal service, steadfast dedication, and unwavering commitment to the Craft. His promotion stands as both a just reward and an enduring inspiration to all Brethren within the Province.
