Today we recognise World Menopause Day and the importance of better awareness, understanding and support for those experiencing menopause.

Pharmacists and pharmacy teams can play a valuable role in helping people understand their treatment options, manage symptoms and know when further healthcare advice may be needed.

🖤 Black History Month 2026 | Celebrating Ade Williams MBE – “The People’s Pharmacist” 💊

Celebrated every October in the UK, Black History Month 2026 runs from 1–31 October, providing an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people and communities.

This Black History Month, Medway School of Pharmacy celebrates Ade Williams MBE, an award-winning pharmacist recognised for his contribution to community pharmacy, health equity and patient care.

Based in Bristol, Ade champions accessible healthcare, tackles health inequalities and inspires the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

👏 We celebrate Ade’s achievements and his inspiring contribution to pharmacy and the communities he serves.

🧪🎨 Science, creativity and community came together in Medway! On Saturday 3 October, Jenna from our MSoP technician team, supported by MSoP, the University of Greenwich and STAART ambassadors, led hands-on science activities with Nucleus Arts and Sun Pier House as part of the Medway Fun Palaces Trail 2026.

Together, members of the public aged from 2 to 80+ created two fantastic pieces of artwork: an overflowing conical flask reaction, donated to Nucleus Arts, and a giant capsule filled with their own colourful creations. 💊✨

The capsule became a wonderful collective masterpiece, offering a glimpse into the creative and scientific hearts of Chatham and Medway.

It was a real privilege to share these activities with the community and see the joy, curiosity and creativity they inspired! 💙
