Hi all.

On the 26th April, Nic Barker will return to the University for two sessions of a Barefoot Clinic! The two sessions will be the same, so will only need to attend one!
It will be both practical where she will give examples of what have been covered in the theoretical session as well.
This clinic was run last year as well, and was a big hit. It is much to learn from this day, even if your horse is barefoot or not.

The first session will run from 9-12 and the second session will run from 2-5.
Both sessions will take place up at the Equine Unit at cow watering campus.

Prices are as followed:
£15 for external
£10 WUC students and staff
£5 for Equine Society members

The spaces are limited so book your spot fast, before they are all sold out.

Hello Everyone.

On Sunday 29th March, we will be hosting a Side-Saddle Clinic with Katie Evans.

Here is an opportunity for our members that have their own horses, to try out side-saddle riding.

There will only be 6 lessons on this day, so be quick with booking.

Katie is an qualified side saddle association instructor, BHS accredited coach and fully insured.

All ages and abilities catered for, from complete beginners to experienced side saddle riders. Side saddles available to use in lessons for all shapes and sizes of horse or pony!

The lesson is £35. This price goes per person for one hour, one to one lesson on your own horse or pony including side saddle fit and hire.

Payment will be needed to be made in advance, to secure spot!

If your horse is not stabled at WUC Equine unit. You will need to show passport on the day, before the horse is loaded off.

As well as this, the yard requires that all horses, not stabled have had their vaccination, as well as a booster

(No more than 6 months and a minimum of 7 days before arrival to the yard).

​If these requirements is not held, we will not be able to hold of your spot, or let you arrive on the yard on the day.

The Equine Society at Writtle University will be hosting a Barefoot Performance workshop with Nic Barker.
There will be two sessions held throughout the day.
These will be the same, however, will be split to give a better experience.
9-12 session 1
2-5 session 2

There may be a possibility to bring your own horse, please PM the society if you would like to be considered.

Price:
£5 for Equine Society members
£10 for WUC students
£15 for external

Tickets will need to be purchased before the event. This can be done by either BACs transfer or cash to the university. Please message either myself or the Equine Society for bank details.
