Happy Pride Month 🌈

We're proud to support the incredible work of the UoG LGBTQIA+ Society, which provides community, support, education, and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ students throughout the year 💙

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots and honours the generations of LGBTQIA+ people who have fought for equality, visibility, and human rights. It reminds us of the progress made for LGBTQIA+ rights, while recognising there is still work to do.

This month provides an important opportunity to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, celebrate diversity, and ensure that everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. The society host lots of socials throughout the week including
🌟 Mellow Monday (our neurodivergent-friendly social)
🌟 Quite Q***r Tuesdays
🌟 Mature Student Nights
🌟 Fruity Film Nights on Fridays

We’ve officially opened our new Sculpture Park with the unveiling of 'Tommy' from world-renowned sculptor and Turner Prize winner Sir Tony Cragg CBE.🤩

Installed at our Park Campus in Cheltenham, the sculpture creates an immersive and accessible art experience for students, staff and the wider community.

Sir Tony’s journey as an artist began right here in Cheltenham in 1969, studying at Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, one of the University’s predecessor institutions, making this installation at our Creative Campus even more special. 💙

The Sculpture Park will bring internationally recognised art to Gloucestershire, creating opportunities for creativity, inspiration and connection for everyone to enjoy.
