This summer, the University of Chester’s School of Education will be hosting the 2026 Educational Leadership Conference.

Titled "Leading for the Future", this one day event will be open to teachers, school and college staff, aspiring leaders and anyone with an interest in leadership across education. Attendance is free, making it an accessible professional development opportunity for local educators.

The Conference takes place on Saturday, July 11 2026, from 10am to 4pm (doors open at 9am), at the Exton Park campus, Chester.

Eligible final year students: It's time to have your say in the National Student Survey (NSS)!

As a thank you for your time, we're offering prizes for students who enter the online survey prize draw. All entries must be received by midnight on 30th April 2026. The prize for the draw is a £100 love2shop voucher which will be awarded randomly to five students.

The University of Chester is pleased to announce the new Head of its School of Education.

Sue O’Brien joins the University having worked as a leader in Higher Education across a range of universities for over 20 years, most recently as Head of the Sheffield Institute of Education at Sheffield Hallam University and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her career reflects a sustained commitment to academic leadership, teaching and learning, research, partnership working and the wider civic role of universities.

Starting on Wednesday, 11th March (4:30pm-6:30pm @ the University of Chester) Network Nights will give you the opportunity to:

A reminder that February is Student Voice Month 📣

As well as the National Student Survey now being available for Level 6 students (thestudentsurvey.com), there is also the Student Voice Survey, which is available to students at Level 3, 4 or 7 (shoutout.chester.ac.uk).

For less than 10 minutes of your time, these surveys provide an opportunity to share your views, thoughts and opinions on everything the University has to offer - helping to improve courses, facilties and many other aspects of the student experience.
