Using a combination of markers, wax, ink, paint and pastel, the group participated in a sequence of learning for Key Stage 1 art - producing some very creative and insightful results 🎨

Take the Next Step in Your SEND Leadership Journey ...

Did you know that around two-thirds of SENCOs in England balance SEND leadership with a teaching timetable? As the demands of the role continue to grow and SEND remains a key government priority, now is the perfect time to build on your NPQ for SENCOs with a Master's in Special Educational Needs and Disability.

Our MA SEND programme will help you deepen your critical understanding of SEND policy, practice, and research while developing advanced skills in advocacy, and evidence-informed decision-making. You will be empowered to challenge inequity, influence practice, and make a lasting difference to the lives of children, young people, and families.

Visit our course page to find out more and book onto one of our summer online open evenings: https://www.chester.ac.uk/study/course-search/special-educational-needs-and-disability-send-ma/

The School of Education's annual staff event staff wrapped up another academic year in style 🎁 Not only is it important that we look back to recognise and celebrate what's been achieved (of which there is plenty!) 🎉 but also to reflect and establish a vision for the future 🔭 Sharing new research, information and ideas provides us with greater perspective - challenging existing beliefs and thinking shows us where we can grow and evolve. Collectively, we finish the summer term empowered to move forward as a leading provider of both academic development and teacher training ❤️ Will you help us write our next chapter? 📖
