At the School of Education Symposium, Sarah McGrath and Dr Deb Ravenscroft will lead a practical workshop and seminar exploring how schools can support children and young people experiencing grief and bereavement.

Designed for teachers, pastoral staff, teaching assistants, SENCOs and school leaders, the session will help colleagues better understand how grief can present across different stages of development, build confidence in talking with children and young people about death and loss, and consider what helps, what harms, and when further support may be needed.

Through discussion, reflection and practical guidance, participants will explore how small, consistent actions and strong relationships can make a meaningful difference to children and young people navigating loss.
