With the big day nearly upon us we thought we would post a few frequently asked questions here for you all to see as we will be inundated with enquiries over the coming days.

1. When is move in day? – 22nd Sept for domestic and EU students & 21st for internationals and students that have applied through student support.

2. Will I get another offer if I decline an offer? No we will only send one offer of accommodation

3. I’m not happy with what I have been allocated what should I do? We advise students to accept the offer so that they have secured accommodation and then email us to request a transfer form from the 1st September, we will place you on a waiting list and will try to help as many people as possible in the build-up to and after the academic year has started. We cannot guarantee a move or how long a potential move might take but last year we were able to help all that did wish to move accommodations.

4. What size is my bed? - All beds are single beds apart from Grosvenor and Sumner house which have double / king size respectively. Please check the Residential Guide for further details.

5. Can I view my accommodation before I accept an offer or arrive? No we cannot facilitate this as the rooms are occupied over summer and would not have the capacity to show individual rooms.

6. Can I accept the offer without paying a deposit? No you will need to pay a deposit to secure the room- if there are issues regarding this then please call us and we will try work something out.

7. I don’t have a student bank account set up yet what do i do about payments? - set up the direct debit under any other account and then change your direct debit details via the finance team.

8. I’m coming through clearing will I get accommodation? - From our projected figures we anticipate that we will be able to guarantee accommodation to all those coming through clearing although options will be limited for clearing applicants.

Please read the residents guide on pass for further information as this will hopefully answer any other questions you might have.

Any other generic questions like this just ask below. Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

Do you always check your windows and doors are closed before you leave your student property?
Now that you’ve settled into university life, it’s important to ensure you stay safe both on and off campus.
Check out our articles for handy tips on keeping your students accommodation secure before you head home for the Christmas break: https://www.endsleigh.co.uk/blog/student-life/before-you-go-home-for-christmas/

It’s important to understand what you’re already covered for at university, as you may find that the contents cover is not sufficient and that you need to extend it to protect your possessions both in and outside of your room.

Endsleigh are the no. 1 UK student insurance provider & the only one recommended by NUS. Make sure you follow these simple steps so you come home to a secure, clean house in January.
