Always impressed to see groups enjoying themselves whatever our British summertime throws at them!

Funtington Guides with their s'mores and campfire songs yesterday ❤... though they did understandably make use of our sheltered seating area to enjoy their goodies!

If you're a local group looking for a space to use, please get in contact. We are passionate about getting people outside and enjoying this beautiful patch of earth 😍

Majestic ancient woodland Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve 🌳

Make Willowfield your base camp for a visit 😊 You can walk (approx 1hr), cycle (approx 15mins) or drive (approx 5mins) there with a stop at The Richmond Arms, West Ashling or Horse and Groom East Ashling, Chichester on the way. Or make it a circular route and pop into one on the way there and one on the way back!

There is so much unique beauty on our doorstep and when you stay here, it is all yours 🥰

A glorious Bee orchid in our tall grass 😍... who perhaps presents cautionary tales in falling in love...

You see the flowers mimic the appearance of the bees it wants to be pollinated by. So the plant deceptively seduces poor bees with all their pollen onto its petals. The Bee is left ultimately frustrated, whilst the orchid ends up suitably pollinated. Those easily swayed bees.... 😉

And for a second cautionary tale, it may be worth noting that the right species of bee isn't found the UK. So after all that effort to look good, the Bee orchids have to make do with self-pollination here 😂

An old friend visited last summer and said the compost loo instructions were too complicated... so this year we've reduced it to a little ditty 😂... not exactly a poetry classic, but hopefully helps people feel a bit more at ease with the novelty! It's actually quite a fine compost loo even if we do say so ourselves 👌

Late December we were told that Anya (our young goat) wouldn't survive. A mystery illness had taken hold and she wasn't able to stand 💔 A week later, it was her mother Jecca I found dead in their house 😭... it was heartbreaking and we were left with a lame young goat who had always been nervous... and she missed her mum. We nursed Anya for months and she miraculously made it through 🤞...and though she was weak, she went to walking on her back legs and then eventually all 4!! I thought it was time to get her a few friends (goats shouldn't be alone)...but a few weeks ago, she stopped coming out of her house (she has free ranged since her mum passed) and though we treated an apparent infection, she just got worse. Today we made the horrendously tough decision to let her go. They were both beautiful souls and I'm so glad they entered our lives ❤🐐❤

So my 'real job' is as a Teacher and I filmed a 'Meet the Goats' video for the children to watch in form time... thought you guys may appreciate it just as much as year 7 😊

Welcome back!

We have been eagerly awaiting an announcement and have devised a way to open which keeps everyone safe. We will allow bookings to be made for exclusive use. The site is all yours! This will allow facilities to be cleaned in between groups. We ask that all campers maintain social distancing between households/bubbles staying and do not attend if showing symptoms. The cost will depend on group size and will require an online payment of 50% to confirm each booking (full payment required on arrival). The 50% paid is non-refundable if cancelled within two weeks (14 days) of your booking. However, the credit can be transferred to another date (depending on availability) if you are unable to stay. For up to 2 people aged 3+ £30/night For up to 6 people aged 3+ £50/night For up to 10 people aged 3+ £75/night Dogs on leads are welcome. Under 18 year olds must have an adult as part of the booking. You may arrive from 1pm and will need to vacate by 11am. Unfortunately we cannot accomodate caravans, but small campervans may be possible. Please check first as access is limited. To make a booking or ask any questions, just send a message to our page :-)
