Celebrating Student Voices Across CCG 🎉

We were proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our Student Executive members and Students’ Union Officers from across all seven campuses at the CCG Student Executive Celebration Awards.

From leadership and innovation to teamwork, volunteering and student advocacy, these awards recognise the students making a real difference in college life.

👏 We were delighted to host our annual Construction Awards last week, celebrating the incredible achievements, dedication, and talent of our students! 🎓

The evening saw a wide range of awards presented, including Student of the Year for Electrical, Construction, Carpentry & Joinery, Town Planning, Bricklaying, Plumbing, and many more. 🏗️

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners - you should be incredibly proud of your accomplishments! And a big thank you to the staff and supporters who helped make the evening such a success ✨

⚡ We were delighted to see our gaming students take on peers from Brighton Metropolitan College in the very first inter-college Tech Titans challenge! 🎮

Throughout the day, students tackled a series of tasks to earn points — from systems engineering to CTF security and networking using Cisco Packet Tracer — all designed to push their skills to the limit and showcase their technical expertise.

After an exciting and competitive event, Brighton MET narrowly clinched first place, with our students proudly securing second. Every participant also received Amazon vouchers and benefited from a full day dedicated to developing their computing skills.👏

Guests were recently treated to a stunning patisserie showcase created by our Level 2 and Level 3 Catering students 👏

As part of their end-of-year projects, students presented a beautiful afternoon tea packed with both sweet and savoury delights - showcasing their incredible skill, creativity and dedication.

From perfectly baked croissants and pain au chocolats, to freshly prepared focaccia sandwiches and quiches, every detail reflected professional techniques with a modern twist ✨

🎥 We had the pleasure of hosting TikTok creator and small business owner Lora Lune Sleepwear - where she teamed up with our business students for a hands-on session! 🤝

✨Students took on a creative challenge, working in groups to design launch strategies for a dog-themed pyjama range - from planning charity-led events to exploring influencer collaborations and TikTok-first campaigns.🐶

The session gave students valuable insight into branding and marketing, guided by an innovative local entrepreneur who’s making waves online. A massive thanks to Laura for visiting our students! 🚀

A huge shoutout to our Chichester College team, who powered their way to an impressive second place at this weekend’s Dragon Boat Race on the beautiful Chichester Canal 👏
From the crew on the water giving it everything over the 200m course to the fantastic support on the banks, it was a true team effort 💪
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory, the event raised funds for the incredible work carried out by CancerWise.

On Wednesday, our Level 3 Fashion & Textiles students took to the runway to showcase a year's worth of creativity, innovation and hard work. From Year 1 projects to Year 2 Final Major Projects, the show was packed with original designs and incredible talent. 🤩

Among the many collections on display were Black & White Rebloom, a monochrome, botanical-inspired collection that champions sustainable fashion through the creative reuse of materials, and Satin Subtraction, which transforms discarded satin remnants into contemporary garments using subtraction cutting techniques.

These were just two of the amazing collections featured on the night, with every student bringing their own unique vision to the catwalk.

A huge congratulations to all of our students for their hard work and to the staff who helped make the event such a success. We can't wait to see what's next! 👏

Please be aware there are lane closures on the A27 affecting travel from Havant, Portsmouth and Hayling Island. This is likely to cause delays.

👉 If you’re travelling from the west, please allow extra time for your journey.
