Last Saturday’s University Open Day was a fantastic chance to welcome prospective students and offer‑holders to Essex Law School - and it wouldn’t have been the same without the amazing people who made it happen.

A huge thank you to our students and alumni who generously shared their time, experiences and enthusiasm throughout the day. From answering questions to talking honestly about life at Essex Law School, you helped show what makes our community so special.

While staff can explain the courses and opportunities on offer, it’s our students and graduates who really bring the Essex experience to life — and that’s what future students remember most.

📅 Missed out? You can still join us at our next Open Day on Friday 20 June. We’d love to welcome you to Essex Law School.

Huge congratulations to Veronica Eshoo Baiaty and Courtney Byrne, who recently represented Essex Law School in the Client Interviewing Competition 👏

After progressing from the internal rounds to the regional stage (placing 2nd), they went on to the National Finals, finishing 7th across England and Wales 🏆

💬 “The competition gave us something even more meaningful – practical, client‑focused interviewing skills, confidence under pressure, and a deeper understanding of how to deliver both legal and non‑legal advice effectively,” said Courtney.

Competing against more senior students and still performing so strongly, Veronica and Courtney are a brilliant example of how hands‑on, skills‑based learning at Essex builds confidence, professionalism and real‑world legal experience alongside academic study.

With thanks to their coach, Julia Constantino Chagas Lessa, for supporting them throughout the competition.
