ISLD Deaf-led BSL training provider established in 2015. Teaching BSL Levels 1, 2, 3, 4 & 6 in Colchester, Ipswich and online.

ISLD is a new teaching environment, for anyone wanting to learn the basics of British Sign Language (BSL) to those wishing to develop their skills and progress further. ISLD offers training in BSL Levels 1,2,3,6, BSL Taster Sessions, workshops and Deaf Awareness Training; all of which are under the guidance and support of the most engaging and committed instructors around.

At ISLD, we love celebrating the incredible achievements of Deaf people! 🤟

It was an absolute privilege to meet Michael Woods and hear about his amazing journey to the summit of Mount Everest. 🏔️

His story gave us goosebumps and was truly emotional and inspiring!

If you ever get the opportunity to see Michael’s presentation, we highly recommend it! His story is definitely worth seeing!

With his mum being a sign language interpreter, it is wonderful to see his interest in BSL developing from such a young age.
