The University of Essex Literature Society endeavours to make the perusal of literature accessible to students across disciplines; irrespective of whether you study it, or whether you enjoy the odd novel. To this end, UoE Literature Society aims to provide a platform through which literature students and lovers of literature can assemble and discuss ideas. We want to facilitate an atmosphere where
literature can be examined in both a formal and informal setting and consequently we plan to organise academic events along with plenty of socials where you can feel free to wax lyrical about Barthes or Bronte.
