Clothes, homeware, small electricals if it’s still usable, it doesn’t need to go in the bin.

A member of our Estates team, Matt, spotted this adorable Little Owl on campus last week!

Despite their name, these tiny birds make quite an impression, standing at just 20cm tall, they’re the smallest owl in the UK. While they’re usually most active at dawn and dusk, you might be lucky enough to spot one during the day perched on fence posts or poles, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.

Just another reminder of the amazing wildlife we’re lucky to share our campus with! 🌿

It’s Water Saving Week 💧

From morning showers before lectures to refilling your bottle between classes, water plays a big role in campus life.

But water isn’t infinite, and small changes can make a real difference. Making the changes you can see here means you could save up to 86 litres of water each day that’s the equivalent of 431 cups of tea! ☕️
