Saturday 31 st January marked a special occasion with the use of our Harmony Lounge for a Burns Supper.
Hired for the day, Coldstream’s “ Mafia “ , enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. “ Godfather “ aka , David Shepherd, addressed the Haggis in his usual buoyant manner.
Friends and family gathered to celebrate our National Bard 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 , quote “ everyone was so impressed with the Harmony Room . Perfect size and atmosphere “ . Many thanks Fiona Shepherd.

The evening of Tuesday 16 th December- Regular Meeting and Annual Bottle Draw . Next to our Installation the December Meeting is the highlight of the year. We had deputations from:
The Heart of Glendale 4005 ,
The Northumberland Light Blues,
The Borders Quarrymen,
The Kelso and Tweed Lodge 58

“ The Light Blues went North …. and lived to tell the tale 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
After a very warm Invitation from the Brethren of Lodge StJohn No 280 Coldstream , a solid contingent of Northumberland Light Blues headed over the Border on Tuesday 16 th to join them for their Regular Meeting.
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was first-class. The meeting itself gave us plenty to enjoy including:
A proper Scottish welcome to visiting Brethren.
The Presentation of Honorary Membership to Brother Andrew Elliott Forsyth , Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master of the Scottish Borders .
A cracking Exemplification of the Second Degree, delivered in fine style.
And then there was the rest of the evening…… excellent company, great conversation , and a raffle of frankly heroic proportions.
Huge thanks to the Brethren of Lodge St John 280 for their hospitality, friendship , and top- tier banter . Even better , we’re fairly sure no diplomatic incidents were caused .
This is exactly what the Light Blues are about: getting out , meeting new Brethren , and enjoying Freemasonry beyond our own four walls . Northumberland represented well. Scotland set the bar high 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Return visit strongly hinted at “

As Prostate Champion for the Scottish Borders Province, the role involved presenting a Prostate Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 presentation. The main objective of the presentation is to make everyone aware.
On Thursday 4 th December I gave a presentation in Hawick Lodge St James Border Union Royal Arch. The event was open to all and it was pleasing to see members of the public attend. The audience had stories to tell about their own experiences with Prostate.

What a great day at our neighbours Lodge Dunse 23 on the day of Installation. A privilege to be part of the Installation team. Bro Rob Cockburn, Installing WSW , Bro Stewart Clark , Installing WJW and Bro Donald Drummond, Installing Inner Guard. Our very own RWM Bro Gavin Knox being Installed as WSW 🤝.
Congratulations to the Installing Masters, Bro Dale Hall and Bro Ronnie Patterson. The “ Bible “ was once again presented in a way Bro Mick Laidlaw has made his own 📖❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.
The four course meal , which was first class, was prepared and served by Wendy and Jacqui, thank you so much.

Many thanks to all who joined with us tonight to witness a insight into Sir Robert Moray. Brother Philip Harris delivered an informative lecture and answered questions from the audience.
The evening saw the celebration of Brother Alex Young Past Master, with a celebration of his 95 th Birthday, all be it 3 days early. What an incredible inspiration 👏👏👏❤️.

On a very special day 11/11/25 “ we will remember them “ , was observed by Lodge Dunse 23 . I also , as Prostate Champion for the Scottish Borders Province gave the Prostate Presentation to the members of Lodge Dunse 23 and their visitors.
This was my first time delivering the new and updated version which was very much appreciated by the attendees. Many and different questions were asked and I was humbled by the generosity of a £85 donation for Prostate Scotland.

Peter Greenwood and myself represented Lodge StJohn 280 Coldstream in the parade to the War Memorial. Peter laid a wreath on behalf of the Lodge. We attended a very special Church service.

This evening , Wednesday 29 th October, saw the Pumpkin/ Baigie Competition held in our Harmony Lounge. The competition had two Age categories, 17 or under / 18 or over.
Thanks go to Annemarie McCall for organising the event. Note 🗒️ the intense counting of the judges scorecards 😅.
This evening’s judges were Elspeth Bell , Claire Murray , Aileen Kerr , myself 👍😉and our very own Coldstreamer 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Aaron Lunn . The competition was intense due to the high standard of entries. The prize 🏆 winners will be announced on Friday night Hallowe’en in Henderson Park. So head along for some 👻🦇🕸️🌓
