A Huge Thank You from Dilston College Summer Fete 2026!
What an incredible day we had at the Dilston College Summer Fete 2026! We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered (the young farmers/Jacobites Society), donated, and helped make the event such a huge success.
This year, we were proud to be raising money for two fantastic charities, HEXtol Foundation and Natural Ability, both of which provide valuable work experience opportunities for our students. These opportunities play a vital role in helping our students develop new skills, build confidence, gain independence, and prepare for the future. We are incredibly grateful for the amazing work these organisations do and for everyone's generosity in supporting them.
First and foremost, a special thank you to our amazing staff team. Your dedication, hard work, and commitment in the weeks leading up to the fete, as well as throughout the day itself, were truly outstanding. Events like this simply wouldn't be possible without all of your planning, organisation, and enthusiasm.
We would also like to recognise our wonderful students. It was especially lovely this year to see some of our students going out into the local community and visiting businesses to collect tombola prizes. Watching them get involved, build confidence, engage with local businesses, and thoroughly enjoy the day was fantastic and a real highlight of the event.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all of the local businesses and community members who supported such a worthwhile cause by donating some absolutely amazing tombola prizes. Your generosity helped make our tombola a huge success and contributed greatly to the atmosphere and fundraising on the day.
We would also like to give a special mention to CI Accountancy for their incredibly generous donation. Your support is greatly appreciated and will make a real difference.

The Summer Fete was a wonderful celebration of our college community, and it was heartwarming to see so many people come together to support our students. Thank you all for helping create such a memorable day. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
