The BA(hons) degree in Media and Communication is designed to produce graduates who will be at the forefront of a wide range of careers within the media and cultural industries. Students focus their studies on the rapidly emerging areas of social and open media, particularly within an international context. The course give students the necessary skills and knowledge to become professionals within

the media and cultural industries capable of innovative and imaginative thinking, the production of professional media and cultural artefacts and objects, and critical and reflective engagement upon the media and cultural sector as a whole. On this course, our students are given the opportunity to take an optional year’s further study, either professionally as an intern working with a media and/or cultural employer, or internationally studying the disciplines of media and communication at one of our partner universities outside the UK.
