Students preparing to move into Coventry University-owned accommodation this weekend can use our straightforward packing guide.

They will need to bring any essential paperwork - this includes a form of photo ID, bank cards, travel documents and any acceptance letters they have received.

For bedding, students should pack a duvet, duvet cover, sheets, pillows and pillowcases.

For the kitchen, they will need a few basics. A selection of mugs, plates, cutlery and a saucepan will get them started.

Certain items are strictly prohibited in halls so students must leave candles, plug-in air fresheners, personal washing machines and deep fat fryers at home.

All electrical items brought into the accommodation must be safe for UK use and CE-marked.

Our Library offers a comfortable, well‑equipped environment designed to support focused study and academic development.

Within this space, students can browse a wide range of books and digital resources, access dedicated study spaces, and make use of our printing facilities.

In addition to this, students are able to loan laptops for assignments and coursework, and receive guidance from our friendly Academic Writing Support team.

These facilities play an important role in helping our students achieve their goals and feel confident throughout their studies at CU Coventry.

If you're supporting someone who got their results yesterday but wants to see if campus life feels right before applying, keep reading!

We're running drop-in visits at our campus to help students find their place through and our student ambassadors are ready to take visitors on a student-led campus tour.

These sessions run daily between 10am-3pm. Students can visit us between Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August, or between Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August.

Did you know you don't have to wait until A level Results Day to start your Clearing journey?

Ahead of Results Day, you can use our online Eligibility Checker to explore courses early and 'save your place'.

Simply enter your predicted grades (or teacher-assessed grades) to see which courses you might be eligible for.

If you meet the entry criteria, we’ll give you the option to ‘save your place’ on that course. In other words, you can hold a spot in advance, pending your actual results.

This means that on Results Day, if you achieve the required grades, your place is ready and waiting for you. It’s a huge stress-reliever, giving you an extra level of security in the run-up to Results Day.

If your results end up higher or lower than expected, you can always adjust and look at other options too.

Important: Saving a provisional place with predicted grades is not a guaranteed offer. It’s a way for us to prioritise you in Clearing and hold a spot for you on the course. You’ll need to meet the entry requirements on Results Day to turn it into a confirmed offer.
