Warwick Chinese Orchestra Society (WCOS) "It's all about having a passion for Chinese music."

WCOS is a society for people who are interested in playing traditional Chinese instruments and are looking to learn or develop their existing skills whilst playing as part of our orchestra. We want to introduce students to a different perspective of music and bring traditional Chinese music to a wider audience.

🪕2023 free open rehearsal — meeting across millennia, is coming next Saturday! This time, we added more ancient songs from the Old Silk Road era. WCOS 2021 Term1 Open Rehearsal is coming! 6 performances combined with both popular and traditional Chinese Music will be at this rehearsal.
Time: 5pm-6pm Mon 29th Nov
Location: Ensemble Room, The Arts Centre

Interested in learning Chinese instruments? Or, torn between which Chinese instrument you want learn first?
If so, this music workshop is perfect for you! We would introduce the Erhu, Guzheng, Dizi, P**a, Zhongruan, all in a single session, and you would even get to try them out yourself!
Come along to our free music workshop at 1pm on 3rd November!
We will introduce the origin and features of different Chinese traditional instruments including Guzheng, Erhu, P**a.
And you may also try and play the instruments with us!
No fees required, just come and enjoy the music together.
