'Teaching & Learning in the Renaissance' a study day delivered in person by Renaissance Centre Warwick on Thurs 24 September 2026. Join us for a fascinating day exploring experiences of teaching and learning across the Renaissance world. Our four expert speakers will examine:
• Shakespeare and the English grammar school experience
• Universities in medieval and Renaissance Europe
• Travel as a form of Renaissance learning
• Latin and vernacular languages in education and intellectual culture

Renaissance Centre Warwick (CSR) is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest from highly qualified researchers in the field who seek to apply for a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships, tenable in the Centre. Particular strengths of CSR members include literature, intellectual history, social and cultural history, history of the book, history of religion, history of science and medicine, history of art, history of universities, epistolary networks, history of translation, the relationships between Neo-Latin and the vernaculars, and the classical tradition.
