Conservation Volunteer!
Madagascar’s ecosystems are some of the world’s most unique and biodiverse, yet they are under severe threat; 90% of original littoral forests have been lost due to human activities, and lemurs are the world’s most endangered group of primates. For over 15 years our SEED Conservation Research Programme (SCRP) has been running in the beautiful coastal area of St Luce, which is surrounded by rare fragments of littoral forest.

This experience offers an opportunity for learning and personal development; spending time in such a rewarding, but challenging environment, whilst working alongside a team of conservation experts.

As far as jobs go, you’ve peaked. Checking the lift machinery and helping skiers and boarders to load and unload onto the lifts, you’re all about being safety conscious with a smile. (Not hard, just look around you). Clocking in more mountain time than a Yeti, you’ll build up extensive knowledge of the mountain and conditions of the runs.

The Alliance for a Sustainable Amazon (ASA) is seeking interns to assist its international team of biologists and conservationists with various projects spanning biological research and monitoring, sustainable tropical agriculture, and conservation.
We have three Internship Programs designed to provide individuals—students, early-career or aspiring scientists, and/or those with a deeper interest in tropical biology or conservation—with the chance to learn through direct, hands-on engagement in basic scientific research and applied conservation projects.
