♻️ Last week, we shared some of our students’ fantastic sustainability posters – and now we’re delighted to showcase even more of the talented individuals behind them!

Our students have been creating sustainability-focused posters for Parker’s Café, helping to promote environmentally friendly choices across the college. These latest photos capture more of our students proudly standing alongside their work, which is now displayed throughout the college for everyone to see.

We’re incredibly proud of the creativity, effort and passion that has gone into these projects. Keep an eye out for the posters around campus and join us in celebrating our students' commitment to sustainability.

Here’s a selection of our students’ fantastic work on sustainability 🌍♻️

Students designed posters to encourage Parker’s Café customers to bring their own cups, helping to reduce waste and save 20p. Along the way they showcased great creativity, using AI to design their posters, embedding English skills in the planning stages and digital skills in the final creations.

Some of our students are pictured proudly with their work 👏

Well done to everyone involved!

The Pride of Yorkshire art trail is currently taking place, featuring 150 life-sized lion sculptures across the region.

Let's see how many of the sculptures we can find as a college community!

📸If you come across any on your travels, snap a pic and share it in the comments

Organised by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, the trail celebrates the hospital’s 150th anniversary. The lions have been designed by British artists and are on display in locations across Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, and Rotherham.

In addition, there are 150 smaller “cubs” created by schools and community groups. These can be found at key landmarks such as Meadowhall, Doncaster Racecourse, Oakwell Stadium, and Gulliver’s Valley.

🦁 The Pride of Yorkshire Sculpture Trail is now LIVE!

✨From today, you can find and collect our incredible lions, lionesses and cubs right across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley.

🗺️ Want a paper map? Pick one up from any of our merchandise locations across the trail. Find your nearest one here: prideofyorkshire.org/pride-of-yorkshire-locations-revealed/

📲 Prefer to follow the trail online? Head to prideofyorkshire.org to create your trail account and start collecting sculptures.

🎁 As you collect lions, you’ll unlock rewards along the way, so keep an eye on the rewards section to see what discounts and treats you’ve earned.

🧡 The mane thing (sorry!) is to get out, explore South Yorkshire and enjoy these beautiful beasts in all their glory.

🎉 Thank you for joining the Pride of Yorkshire as we celebrate 150 years of Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

📸 We can’t wait to see your photos from the trail. Tag us in your adventures! 🐾

🐣 Exciting news from Glenville! 🐣

After lots of patient waiting, all ten chicks successfully hatched and the excitement was incredible!

Students couldn’t stay away, gathering around during breaks and rushing in each morning to see what had hatched overnight. Watching the chicks grow so quickly over the week was amazing. They grew so much that we even had to set up an extra pen!

It’s been a truly special learning experience, filled with smiles, curiosity, and plenty of happy chatter. Even those who were unsure at first soon got involved, and it was lovely to see both students and staff visiting and even getting the chance to hold the chicks

Everyone is already asking… when can we do it again?

A huge thank you to everyone who helped care for the chicks, especially our fantastic Animal Care team who gave up their weekend to look after them 💛

We had an absolutely wonderful time yesterday at our fashion show! 👗✨

The event was the culmination of weeks of hard work from both staff and students, and it truly paid off. From workwear to sportswear and partywear, our students took to the catwalk with confidence and style, looking fantastic in every category.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported and made the event possible. 💙

If you joined us, we’d love to hear what your favourite moment of the show was. Let us know in the comments 👇

Students at Yorkshire Rose College in Doncaster are set to benefit from new sensory spaces thanks to a £10,000 grant from The Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC).

The college will install Sensory Nook Pods within key spaces to provide structured, safe and accessible places that support students with communication needs and SEND.

Tracey Jamison, principal of Yorkshire Rose College, said: “We are extremely grateful for this grant from CPC. Our students will benefit hugely from these pods which will be calm, low-stimulus environments that will enable them to regulate sensory input, manage anxiety, and engage with learning in an inclusive way

Our students are making progress with their bike maintenance project 🚲🔧

From stripping down and rebuilding bikes to spraying and finishing, they’re developing real technical skills every step of the way. The finishing touch? Adding our college logo as custom stickers, making each bike part of our community identity.

These restored bikes will be used at future college events and around site, giving students pride in seeing their work in action 🙌

Take a look at the photos to see our students hard at work.

One of our students, Ryan, recently took part in the U23 World Deaf Football Championships 2026 in Zlatibor and we couldn’t be prouder of everything he has achieved.

Some of our staff and students have come together to create a special video sharing just how proud they are. Well done, Ryan! 👏💙
