It is with great sadness that we announce the passing today of our colleague Kay.
We originally met Kay as a learner when she completed her Animal Nursing Assistant qualification with us over 20 years ago. From this qualification she went on to develop her interest in customer care, coaching and practice management and we later had the pleasure of working alongside her as our Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate tutor.
Kay was unique, spirited and an inspirational member of the team who will be remembered fondly by all of us who knew her.

Happy World Book Day 2024!!! Are your kids dressing up as their favourite book characters today?

We're supporting this great cause in various ways and, Kay Irvine, our VPAC Course Assessor, has been out and about collecting books for adults and children, which she is delivering to her local hospital in Swindon later today.

Having survived cancer herself, Kay understands the importance of having a positive mindset and her aim is to encourage hospitals to offer an alternative to newspapers and gossip magazines on library trolleys - you never know if one sentence in one positive, inspiring book could make all the difference to a patient going through a very difficult time.

Every hospital has a library trolley and a bank of lovely volunteers who visit patients every day - if you would like to donate your unwanted books to your local hospital, contact the Voluntary Services Manager to see if they need any.

Merry Christmas to all our lovely VPAC students! It's been an absolute pleasure to support you over the last few years.

Even though the current VPAC has now ended, we have had a lot of positive feedback and requests for information on the new version.

So, we will be sending out a survey to help us decide how best to revamp the VPAC to make it more in line with other courses, include technological and medical advances and add even more value to future students.

CONGRATULATIONS to our very last VPAC student to pass the winning line... LESLEY SMITH!!!

Lesley had more than her fair share of challenges to complete the course, but she stuck with it and with some regular coaching she passed her Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate!!!

Well done Lesley - you can relax and celebrate, knowing that you did a fantastic job and can be very proud of yourself.

It was a pleasure supporting you on your VPAC journey and we wish you all the best for 2024 and achieving your career goals.
