Barony campus welcomed our NC and HNC Agriculture students this week to settle in and get to know each other before the serious stuff starts next week.

Quizzes, games tasks, rounders and an assault course were fiercely competed in for the grand prize of a tub of heroes.

Looking for a flexible job whilst you study? Become a Student Partner! This year, our Student Partners will get the chance to work on an exciting project- the review of SRUC’s Class Rep system. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills, gain valuable experience and enhance your CV whilst making a real difference. It’s open to any SRUC student, and no prior experience is needed. Student Partners can expect to work 20 hours over the course of the academic year, at a time and pace that suits you. It is paid at the Living Wage, and you’ll be supported by a staff member.

Agriculture Instructor Stuart Callander shared some photos from graduation, including a particularly special one with Louise Jardine.

Stuart and Louise both started at SRUC Barony in 2022 - Stuart as an instructor and Louise as a young NC student. Four years later, Stuart had the privilege of watching Louise graduate with her degree.

Alongside Louise’s graduation, Stuart also captured some brilliant photos of our 3rd and 4th year Barony Agriculture students, as well as members of the Agriculture lecturing team celebrating the day.

Congratulations to our new Registered Veterinary Nurses!

The Veterinary Nursing team would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our students who have successfully achieved their Veterinary Nursing Degree and can now officially call themselves Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)!

Over the past 3 to 4 years, you have demonstrated incredible dedication, resilience, and commitment. Through countless hours of study, clinical placements, assessments, and practical training, you have worked tirelessly to reach this significant milestone.

We are immensely proud of everything you have achieved and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make as the next generation of RVNs.
