From housing and care to training and employment, we're committed to helping people live better lives. Hillcrest Housing Association was formed in 1967 and over the decades has continually evolved its structure to meet changing and challenging operating conditions. The purpose of operating as the Hillcrest Group of Companies is to be more than a traditional housing association by providing a range of housing, care and wider role service. We are not only a large housing provider but also have a substantial care company, maintenance company and a training/employment arm helping people overcome barriers to finding sustainable employment.

A fabulous start to our Western themed Catwalk for a Cause event at the Bonar Hall in Dundee today! So far we’ve had a performance by “Lucky and the Draguettes”, a line dance by some of the people we support, and a Catwalk to showcase some of our beautiful pre loved clothing and accessories. Thank you to all our amazing models!

This week, our Sustainability Representatives came together for their first in-person event at the MVV Baldovie Energy from Waste Facility in Dundee.

The day included climate literacy training delivered by Keep Scotland Beautiful, helping colleagues build their understanding of sustainability and explore ways to support positive action within their teams and services.

Representatives also enjoyed a tour of the MVV facility, learning how non-recyclable waste is diverted from landfill and used to generate electricity for the national grid.

A fantastic opportunity to learn, network and share ideas as we continue working towards a more resilient organisation.

In the role of Housing Assistant, you will:

Contribute as a member of the Dundee East Housing Team carrying out a hybrid role in our Tom Johnston Road Dundee office and at home. This is a very varied admin role where you will provide administrative support to the Housing Officers and assistance to customers on all aspects of housing including allocations and tenancy matters.

People supported by Futures help shape new Good Vibes friendship group

People supported by Hillcrest Futures who have learning disabilities, autism and other support needs are helping to shape a new friendship group called Good Vibes.

At a recent consultation session at our Hillcrest Futures Activities Hub in Dundee, individuals from across our services came together to share their ideas on what they'd like the group to look like, how often it should meet, and whether they'd like to help plan future sessions. They also voted on a name, with Good Vibes proving the clear favourite.

The group aims to provide a safe, welcoming space where people can meet new friends, strengthen existing friendships and enjoy spending time together in their local community. Following the discussion, everyone enjoyed a buffet lunch while chatting and sharing ideas for the future.

The feedback gathered will help shape the next steps for Good Vibes, ensuring the group reflects what matters most to the people who'll be part of it.
