The Dundee Student Law Review is officially collecting submissions for Volume IX!

We are a student-run, peer-reviewed law journal interested in showcasing the academic fortitude of the University of Dundee School of Law. We also welcome submissions from all scholars, both nationally and internationally. Submissions for previous issues have come from as far afield as Hong Kong and Nigeria, supplementing the excellent submissions from our law students.

Submissions should be emailed as attachments to:
[email protected]
Please include your full name, year, article title and the area of law of your submission.

The deadline is the 31st of March 2023.

A summary of our guidelines can be found below:

1. We will consider submissions from all students, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, as well as practitioners.

2. All submissions are expected to bring a critical and original perspective to a legal topic, or critically analyse a current issue with potential legal implications.

3. We accept a variety of submission types, such as articles and case notes. No strict word limit is enforced, although we ask that submissions be as concise as possible.

4. We will accept both submissions done as coursework and original pieces, but please ensure they are appropriate for publication. Additionally, we will prioritise submissions which have not been already published elsewhere

5. Please ensure your referencing is formatted in accordance with OSCOLA.

If you have any questions about submitting or have an idea you think might make for a good article, feel free to email us at [email protected] or message our page.

Afternoon all,

This is a very quick post to announce that, due to my inability to continue on with this wonderful role for personal reasons, I'm delighted to announce that the excellent Cameron Weatherburn will be stepping in to fill that vacancy. Cameron has already shown in his editorial tenure that the Co-managing Editor position suits him to a tee and his appointment will be an invariable benefit to the DSLR. Thank you, Cameron.

I shall, however, always keep an eye on what's going on here and will also be available for any assistance whenever needed. Please, accept my sincerest apologies for the spontaneity. Finally, thank you to Ritchie and Jack before me for their help with everything and to the editorial team for your tireless work on the last volume. It won't be forgotten.

Warmly,

Aarron.
