Music at Durham is for everyone.

Durham Student Music is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming community, where all students can engage in musical activity, regardless of background, identity, and experience. We celebrate diversity in all its forms and believe it enriches both our music-making and student life.

We are dedicated to work with everyone to ensure equal access to opportunities and challenging any form of discrimination or unfair treatment. Our societies strive to create a safe, respectful environment where every member feels valued. Through our mission of collaboration and openness, we aim to build a community that reflects the richness of Durham’s student body.
