āĻŽāĻžāϤā§āĻāĻžāώāĻž āĻĻāĻŋāĻŦāϏ (read: Matri Bhasha Dibash), also known as Mother Language Day in annually celebrated on the 21st of February. This day promotes multi-linguistic abilities and different cultures. It was recognised by the Bengalis of then East Pakistani Bengalis, now known as Bangladeshi Bengalis to commemorate the day of the protests held for recognition of Bangla as a national language. Indian Bengalis massively celebrate the same as the two very different cultures still share the same language with different dialects. This day is also observed as Language Martyrsâ Day (āĻļāĻšāĻŋāĻĻ āĻĻāĻŋāĻŦāϏ) in Bangladesh, to pay respect to those killed during the protests.
