Dear PakSoc,
Now that the election has finally taken place for 20/21 exec, this is a good bye from the 19/20 exec team.
Thanks to each one of you for not only attending our events, but making them memorable, and exciting. Our members have always been at the heart of our society and we feel honoured, and sad, writing this post as we now have the tough job of saying good bye to you all. Over the course of the year, this exec has not just been a committee, but a family, and a safe space for one another. An inexplicable bond was created which led to the formation of possibly the most dysfunctional family. But when it came to it, we all rallied together to put on some amazing events which would not have been as successful if it wasn’t for the rest of you. It has been a privilege serving as your exec; we have learnt a lot from you, and have been inspired by each other. However, all good things must come to an end, and today is that day for us. We wish the very best to the new exec and hope that they have even half as much fun as we did. Here’s a little montage of the year that we have put together (yes, we actually made this in June when this trend was a thing but the election got postponed). A big thank you to everyone for supporting us and an even bigger thank you to our team for supporting each other. May our PakSoc continue to rise 💚

Muhammad Abbas for Vice President:

Hello everyone! I hope you all are keeping safe during the pandemic. I am Muhammad Abbas, a second year LLB student. There are three major agendas upon which I would work if elected as VP. I would put in the effort required to make sure that Pak-Soc gives a real feeling of our home country to all members. This can only be achieved if all members are connected among themselves and with the management. This bond can only be made if all members interact frequently via events. An yearly calender should be made which outlines all events which are to take place. All events should be planned after consultation with members. I would emphasize on the fact that the different sort of events should happen which include charity drives, discussion on social issues, desi nights, qwali nights and cultural global village. It is very important to make sure that all new members should be helped during the freshers week. I want to build a Pak-Soc which is inter connected, where all members are heard.
