Many congratulations to our winning teams who received their awards at tonight’s Dinner of Champions- what an amazing year! Well done women’s badminton, indoor and outdoor cricket, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, mixed lacrosse, men’s rugby, women’s football, men’s football!!! We’re going to need a bigger trophy cabinet! (And a big thank you to the fantastic Elspeth.)

Students have participated in arts & cultural workshops during the exchange visit at Grey. A mural workshop, led by Grey student, Olivia Flannagan has brought together the three colleges to celebrate and share our different cultures and develop stronger bonds between Grey, Lee Woo Sing and Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee Colleges. We are looking forward to our second mural workshop tomorrow morning! 😊

Students also led an interactive workshop with fun quizzes, snacks and sweets to share cultural differences, favourite foods, customs and traditions. From spending time together and partipating in these activities, students have learnt to appreciate cultural diversity and recognise the richness that differences bring.

We’re enjoying our intercultural exchange with students from Macau and Hong Kong, sharing our history, culture and heritage. This includes food! Students made and enthusiastically consumed a traditional cream tea, with their own fresh baked scones. A great way to finish a day exploring our world heritage site.

A fabulous day showing off our new pond and wildlife gardens as part of our Grey Goes Green biodiversity project, generously funded by alumni Gary and Helen. Our new pond was teeming with life and we got some good baseline data for future monitoring. Our interns Alice and James have done a great job and we are grateful to the grounds team, botanic gardens, Greenspace team and our porters - a real collaborative effort!

Our friends from the University of Macau, Henry Fok Jubilee College joined our international exchange programme at Grey College! We had a tour of Bill Bryson library, Castle & Cathedral.

Followed by lunch and then our students led a scavenger hunt across the city centre. In the afternoon we all enjoyed making scones for a traditional afternoon tea, then tonight we hosted our Mamma Mia Formal. Thanks to everyone (College staff & students) involved in making today so special 😊 ❤️

Today, we greeted staff & students from Lee Woo Sing College, Chinese University of Hong Kong. They will be staying with us for a week as part of our first international cultural exchange programme. Tomorrow, we will also be joined by Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee, University of Macau. We've planned together with our Grey students, an exciting programme to share our different cultures, local NE history & heritage, food and College traditions. Plenty of opportunities for all our grey students to get involved and meet our new friends! 😊❤️

Congratulations to GCBC on the naming of their new men’s IV! ‘Hubert French’ is named after John French, GCBC donor and mentor and is cutting through the water at Hexham and Durham regattas This boat purchase is the culmination of an impressive fundraising campaign by the club, including grant funding, donations from alumni, the JCR and the SCR. Well done
