Hi All!

Our AGM will be held on 13th March 2024 and will run from 4-6pm at Maiden Castle's Dojo. The AGM will focus mainly on electing our new exec team for the 23/24 Academic Year. Results will be released online after a few days and the exec team will be individually contacted for training and handover will be processed throughout the final term.

The roles that will be available to run for next year are as follows:

- President (currently Nosheena Jabeen)
- Vice President (currently Eunice Hung)
- Treasurer (currently Jamie Harris)
- Secretary (Currently Louis Kelly)
- Social Secretary (Currently Joshua Fenton)
- BJJ, MMA and Female Team Captains (Currently Rik Knowles, Leon Finnen and Chantal Stenger)
- Welfare Officer: (Currently Loic Peron)

If you are interested in running for any of these roles, please feel free to speak either to myself or the current holder of that position either in class or via social media. However, if you would like to officially put yourself forward for any of the roles above, please fill in the online form linked in the bio! The deadline for submitting applications will be on the 6th March and you should ideally be present at the AGM to deliver a speech about the role you have applied for and why you would be a good candidate. However, if this is not possible, recorded video submissions will be possible to put online in order to present yourself as a candidate.

Hey Guys,

Please read the post above about the new payment option that will be available to all students from now to the end of the academic year.

Each session will be £3 per session and payment can be made via debit or cash. Debit instructions can be found via dumma.uk. Cash payments can be made to the exec members present on the day.

Hi All,

After our successful In-House BJJ Comp last term, we are hoping to continue and expand these for the future. This time, we are also excited to be announcing our first In-House MMA Comp.

Rules will be adapted as the coaches see fit, but our training in the meantime will reflect on getting those ready who wish to compete.

Please fill in the individual forms as necessary, via our insta bio, if you wish to compete in either comps or if you would like to compete in both.

Hi All,

We hope you're all as excited as we are to return for our 2nd Term and get straight back into training!

The first week back will be another taster week for those who weren't able to join us last term - feel free to attend as many or as little of our sessions as you'd like. For existing members - use this opportunity to bring friends and show them how fun MMA and BJJ can be!

We had a great 1st Term - let's look forward to making our 2nd Term even better!

As Michealmas Term comes to an end, we would like to thank all of our members, including our coaches, for making this term as amazing as it has been!

We've seen a range of events from the Combat Sports Mixer to our BJJ In-House Comp and finally our Xmas Paintballing Social. You guys have made sure every single event went amazingly and that training itself has been focused and enjoyable.

We hope the next 2 terms continue with the same level of success and we look forward to welcoming you all back on the mats next year!

Hey All,

Find above information regarding our training dates for the end of this term and beginning of next term.

Today will be our last session of the term! But we will all be back on the 9th January, with our BJJ sessions on the Monday from 4-6pm.

Amazing day today for our Xmas paintballing social! There may have been a few instances of heightened tension mid-game...😐
..but overall, it was a great day out! 😂

As we come close to the end of term and nearer Xmas, train safe and thanks to all of our members (new and old) for making this term so incredible!

Amazing In-House Comp today w/!~

Well done to all those who competed today, and a special congratulations to those who won their divisions! 😍

We hope that all those who entered today took something home that will help them develop in the future. That's our main priority, and that we've all had fun whilst participating!

This won't be the last in-house Comp so make sure to come back raring to go for the 2nd Term!

Hi Guys - Please read the post above on a planned Xmas Social that DUMMA is eager to hold before the end of term!

Tickets will be £20 per individual and the venue will be near Newcastle (company has been tagged for those curious). Dates are yet to be confirmed as we would like to gauge interest levels first, and we may have to adapt training sessions as a result.
