Centre for Visual Arts and Culture event: Jo Quinton-Tulloch is the Director of the National Media Museum in Bradford. The Centre for Visual Arts and Culture have invited her to Durham to talk about this vast collection of photography, film and television, as well as the challenges currently facing the cultural sector. **Durham Book Festival**
The real-life inspiration behind the protagonist in his brother Barry Hines' classic novel 'A Kestrel for a Knave', Richard Hines will discuss his childhood experiences and his later career as a documentary filmmaker at this special event taking place at Palace Green Library.
A special screening of Ken Loach's 'Kes' - adapted from Hines' modern classic - will also be shown at the Gala Theatre on 10th October!

Durham Cathedral is hosting an exhibition of Stephen Guyon Bird's 'Genesis Series', a set of paintings which draw on biblical themes, mythologies, and folk stories.

The exhibition begins this Thursday 3rd March and will run until 16th March.
