Castle Community Action

Castle Community Action Castle Community Action (CCA) is a student-led outreach programme based in Durham Castle.

Founded in 2012, CCA is a student-led outreach programme based in University College, Durham. CCA aims to:

1.Integrate University College students into the local community by providing additional support and education to vulnerable sectors.

2.Increase community access to Durham Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site which we are lucky to call home. We believe that community engagement is about mor

e than just volunteering. It’s a daily process through which students and other members of the Durham community establish lasting and reciprocal relationships. A small organisation with a lot of energy, we run flexible projects which can be tailored to the specific needs of individual beneficiaries.
