At Charter Vets, part of the CVS Group, we're dedicated to putting pets and their owners at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for two warm, organised, and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionists to become the welcoming face of our busy and thriving practice.

Based primarily at our Roundswell and Mullacott sites, with flexibility to work across our North Devon practices when required.
โฐ Hours & Shift Pattern
30 hours per week
Monday: 2:00pm โ 7:00pm
Wednesday: 8:30am โ 1:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am โ 1:30pm
Friday: 8:00am โ 6:00pm
Alternate Saturdays: 1:30pm โ 7:00pm
Alternate Sundays: 1:30pm โ 7:00pm

Monday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
Tuesday: 2:30pm - 7:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am - 1:30pm
Friday: 8:30am - 7:30pm
Alternate Saturdays: 1:30pm - 7:00pm

๐ The Role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets from the moment they walk through the door.
Key responsibilities include:
Welcoming clients and their pets with a friendly and professional approach
Managing appointments and diary scheduling
Handling telephone and email enquiries
Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
Supporting the veterinary and nursing teams with administrative tasks
Managing patient registrations and updating client information
Assisting with insurance claims and practice administration
Ensuring the reception area remains welcoming, organised, and professional at all times

We're looking for someone who:
Has excellent communication and customer service skills
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
Is organised, proactive, and able to multitask effectively
Demonstrates empathy and compassion when supporting clients and their pets
Works well as part of a team and independently when required
Is confident using computer systems and administrative processes
Has previous reception or customer-facing experience (veterinary or healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential)
