Settled into uni life? Take it to the next level by becoming a Programme Rep. Be the voice for your classmates, raise issues, and suggest improvements to your course.

🔸Gain valuable experience for your CV.
🔸Develop essential skills employers love.
🔸Learn a lot from the experience (time commitment: just a few hours/month).

Your Programme Leader should ask your class for volunteers at the start of term. Let them know if you are interested.

Meningitis: Don’t ignore the signs. 🚨

Teenagers and young adults are at a higher risk, and symptoms can escalate in hours. You don't need to see every symptom for it to be an emergency.

Watch for:
🔸Fever, vomiting & cold hands/feet
🔸Severe headache & stiff neck
🔸Aversion to light or confusion
🔸Unexplained drowsiness

If you or a friend are getting worse, act immediately. 🆘

🔸Urgent Care: Call NHS 24 on 111.

Swap Shops are officially open full-time across all three campuses! ♻️✨ Completely FREE for all students and staff.

🔸Merchiston: Jack Kilby Computing Centre, near the vending machines

How it works:
Take: Pop in anytime campus is open, browse the rails, and grab whatever you need.
Give: Drop your clean, good-quality donations in the boxes provided. We take clothes, shoes, accessories, books, and kitchen/homewares (no sharp knives, please!).

If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, don’t drop it off! 🤝

As part of our ongoing campaign to help students with the cost of living, we'll be hosting weekly Student Pantries on-campus on Tuesday afternoons. If you're struggling to get by, don't go hungry, come grab some free food items from our stall!

All food is provided by FareShare, who work with supermarkets, restaurants, and local suppliers to get surplus food where it’s needed most.
