Looking to take your first step into nursing?

Our HNC in Healthcare Practice: Degree Link is designed to help you progress straight into year 2 of a nursing degree at UHI.
You’ll learn how the body works and what happens when someone is unwell, alongside understanding mental health and how it affects everyday life. You’ll also develop strong communication skills, so you can support patients, families and colleagues with confidence
You’ll also put everything into practice by completing work placements.

Learn to support others in a variety of settings with our HNC in Social Services.

Providing graduates with SSSC registration, this course gives you a clear starting point for working in social care. You’ll cover real, everyday topics like supporting someone’s wellbeing, keeping people safe, and understanding how people grow and change, all while reflecting on your own approach.
You’ll also have the chance to complete a 60 day work placement giving you hands-on experience in a real care setting.

UHI Moray is set to host Distilled, a food and drink festival, on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026.

The event will bring together top whisky, gin, beer, and food producers from the Speyside region for a showcase featuring tastings, masterclasses, and hands-on experiences. Find out more ⬇

Explore and experience the creativity and skill of the next generation of artists at our Degree Show and Student Showcase.

At the heart of this year’s exhibition is the work of fourth year student Daisy Clark and an exciting range of work from our University of the Arts London Art and Design students. This diverse showcase spans both digital and traditional approaches, featuring animation, painting, photography, textiles, installation and sculpture. Each piece reflects the creativity and individuality of our emerging artists.

We’re delighted to be strengthening our partnership with the Care and Learning Alliance (CALA) to create clear pathways into employment for our childcare students.

Students who successfully complete their course will now be eligible to join the North and Highland childcare supply banks, giving them access to interim roles that help build experience, confidence and professional skills in real childcare settings.

Alongside this, we’ve seen a rise in the number of students securing employment after college. This is a really positive outcome for both our learners and the wider sector, particularly during a time of increased demand for qualified childcare professionals.
