Hospitality and Tourism Academy at Moray College UHI Launched in February 2013, the HATA@Moray College provides training for all levels and abilities.

The Hospitality and Tourism Academy lies within the Moray Street campus of Moray College UHI. We offer first class, modern facilities in our training and production kitchens and boast one of the finest training restaurants in Scotland, the Beechtree Restaurant. There are courses in Professional Cookery, Professional Food and Beverage Service and Events, providing options for those new to industry or looking for continued professional development.

What are your plans after the summer holidays? Are you looking for a fresh challenge? Do you wish to update your existing skills and gain a new qualification? We still have places available on some of our courses and ideally we are looking for applicants to apply before the end of June. Spaces are available on HND Professional Cookery (new for 2015/16), City & Guilds Diploma 1 & 2, Steps to Work Hospitality or NC Events Co-ordination. Why not come to the College Information Evening from 5-6.30pm on Tuesday 9th June, or the Hospitality Department Open Day in the Beechtree Restaurant on Thursday 18th June from 4-6pm. We can provide information, advice and guidance on the course that is most suitable for you.

HNC Professional Cookery students and staff enjoyed a visit to The Gleneagles Hotel yesterday (22/3/10) where they received an excellent tour of the hotel's public areas and a cookery demonstration by Alan Gibb's team. A great eye opener on an inspirational Scottish Tourism product!

The Beechtree Restaurant recently hosted a fantastic charity dinner in aid of Macmillan Elgin. Over 100 guests attended to enjoy a 4 course feast accompanied by live swing music. Students worked on a volunteer basis to ensure a great time was had by all. We're sure you'll agree looking at the photos that the students did a fantastic job and this was a great opportunity for them to host such a function!
