Introducing our Wellbeing Hours!

Come along to have a chat with committee (including our mascot/ welfare sec Lou!) and other members and have some biscuits! It is a safe place to raise any concerns, ask for advice, or just have a bit of company :)

These will run every Friday in Peter Chalk Café from 17:30 until our watchparty at 18:30 (unless otherwise specified).

Results from our watchparty vote!

How to Train Your Dragon came in first, so we will be watching that tomorrow at 18:30 in Newman Collab! Next Friday we will be watching Blade Runner in the same time and place.

We will also be continuing our wellbeing hour before the watchparties. Come along to have a chat with committee (including our mascot/ welfare sec Lou!) and other members and have some biscuits! It is a safe place to raise any concerns, ask for advice, or just have a bit of company

We're looking for a DM to slide into our DMs....

Or, y'know, fill out the form in our bio 🎲

DM sign-ups for our much-awaited D&D one-shots night are now open!

Our one-shots night will be a great time to meet new people and play some TTRPGs, including (but not limited to) D&D.

If you're interested in running one of these one-shots, your time has come! Use the form in our bio to sign up! Or copy and paste this one: https://forms.gle/wAoU4QaFDpsyUJVs7

You don't need to have a full one-shot ready just yet -- all you need is an idea of what you'd like to run and a name for your adventure! You've got plenty of time to figure out the rest.

More interested in being a player than a dungeon master? Player sign-ups will be open from 19th October until 1st November.

Please reach out to us if you have any questions! And feel free to actually slide into our DMs this time 😉

It's time to pick our next watchparty!

We are once again trusting the fate of our watchparty to democracy. So whether your into space battles, supernatural action, sci-fi classics, or dragons, your vote decides what we watch! Use the link in our bio to have your say!

We will be watching the winning film this Friday (9th October) and the runner-up next Friday (16th October); both in Newman Collab at 18:30.

This week's main social will be our Science Fiction and Fantasy Quiz, ran by our mascot Lou! Join us in Newman Collab at 18:30 on Wednesday 7th October for a fun quiz covering everything science fiction and fantasy!

And as a little warm-up, can you guess which fantasy film Lou spent an entire year watching every weekend? The answer will be revealed at the quiz!

The Cleo Quiz (ran by president, Leo, and librarian, Crow) will instead take place on the 21st October although originally scheduled for this week.

Introducing Crows and Prose!

Some members might remember this book club run by our amazing librarian Crow from last year, but Crow is revamping it and spicing things up this year! There will be a new book, or similar media (e.g. fanfiction) every 2 weeks, with the chance to have a discussion about it if you so wish either on discord or in-person (probably at the Imperial after our main socials). Books will be available in ebook and audiobook form wherever possible.

The first book is Project Hail Mary! If you are not already on our Discord server, join through the link in our bio and look for 'crows-and-prose' to access the book and find out more! There is also a channel called 're-crow-mendations' with more book recommendations. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are struggling to access the Discord!
