Exeter's Modern Languages societies are proud to present the first EXETER EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL.
A collaborative effort between the Exeter German Society and the Exeter Hispanic Society, we invite you -- whether (multi)linguist or cinephile -- to celebrate the strength and diversity of classic European cinema over 3 days this week.
OPEN TO STUDENTS AND PUBLIC!
We're screening the best of Italian, French and German cinema on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, showing the work of Fritz Lang, Federico Fellini and Jean-Luc Godard.
Films will be shown in their original language. Not trilingual? Us neither - all films have English subtitles!
JOINING US:
Dr. Danielle Hipkins, Italian Studies and Film lecturer and Ricarda Schmidt, German lecturer to shed some light on how German and Italian cinema has shifted since their inception, and where these virtuosos fit into the broader picture.
WHEN? 30th May - 1st June
WHERE? @ University of Exeter, Streatham Campus, Queens LT1 (May 30th, May 31st) and Laver LT3 (June 1st)
