Meet Carson, an international student at the University of Exeter all the way from Hong Kong 🇭🇰, and this is what a real day in his life looks like.

His morning starts with a walk to campus through Exeter's greenery (yes, it really is that walkable and that beautiful 🌿), before heading straight into a packed shift as an event assistant at the university's final career fair of the year.

After a busy morning running things behind the scenes, he refuels at his favourite campus burrito spot (generous portions, apparently non-negotiable 🌯), then hunts down his hidden gem study space in the Hatherly Building for an afternoon of getting things done.

This is international student life at Exeter. Active. Balanced. Full of good food and even better green spaces.

“Come with me back to my first week at Exeter…” 🌿✨

Lika from Georgia remembers sitting in her first lectures, doing her best to catch every word. The accent felt fast, and the experience was completely different from her medical studies back home. But week by week, it became easier. She adapted. She grew.

At Exeter, learning felt different too. It was less about speaking up for marks and more about rolling assessments that made studying feel more balanced and less stressful. And beyond the lectures?
