We’re excited to announce our final debate of the 25/26 year, The 2038 World Cup!

The year is 2030, and Football Associations from across the world have gathered at the FIFA Congress in Montevideo to discuss one key topic - who should host the 2038 World Cup? With three (or possibly four) bids on the table, the question on everyone’s lips is - which nations will fail, and which will earn this prestigious opportunity?

Join us on Tuesday 2nd June, from 6:30pm - 9pm, in Streatham Court LT D, for a debate that promises to be one of our best yet!

We'd like to thank you all for attending our Beach Day earlier this week - from digging the traditional ExMUN hole to catching a nice tan, we hope that you all were able to enjoy yourself in the sun! ☀️⛱️🌊

It was lovely to see you all in our last external event before the end of the year, and we'd like to extend our gratitude to all of you who are leaving but have contributed so much to ExMUN over the last few years!

We’re excited to announce our final social of the 25/26 year, ‘Diplomacy’ Game Night! 🪖

Diplomacy, a game originally created in 1954, has become a cornerstone of board games, evolving and surviving through time from physical copies into play-by-mail, and then onto the internet, where it is still one of the most popular strategic board games of all time. The game itself centres purely around the titular aspect ‘Diplomacy’. With no dice or luck involved, winning relies solely on your diplomatic skills and knowing when to strike. 👀

Join us on Thursday 4th June, from 6:30pm, in XFI Seminar Room C, to partake in this strategic and very fitting game with your fellow delegates.

The responsibility now falls to the international community to decide... will this put humanity on the Up, or will this turn us Inside Out? 👸🧚‍♂️

We’re excited to announce our next social of Term 3, our ExMUN Beach Day! 🏝️🌊

With exams almost over, we know you’re eager for some chill times with your fellow delegates. So why not come down to the beach to chat and enjoy everybody’s company. It will be a hot day so please bring your sun cream and water. 💧

This is a drinking event so feel free to bring your own drinks, but please drink responsibly. There is also no obligation to drink and sober members of committee will be present. Also please note you won’t be allowed to swim or use disposable barbecues.

Meet us on Monday 25th May at Exeter St Davids station to take the 11:15-11:47 train to Exmouth and the train back at 18:26-18:58. However, the event runs from 12-6pm, so you can arrive at whatever time suits you.

We’re excited to announce our final conference of the year, SotonMUN! 🚢

Running from the 5th to 7th June, Southampton Model United Nations Conference is a smaller, more relaxed conference to see out the academic year, alongside being our cheapest delegate fee yet at £25! With three committees, one beginner G20, one intermediate HOC, and an advanced Security Council, there are intensities for all delegates.

We’re excited to announce our next debate of Term 3, Tackling Ongoing Judicial Inequality.

Globally, women currently only have 64% of the legal rights that men do, and Gender Based Violence often goes unprosecuted due to women's voices being invalidated by a two - tier legal system. Despite examples of women in legal education, there is a massive disparity of access for the top jobs in the legal field, which increases injustices faced by women. As such, it falls to UNWOMEN to debate how to tackle judicial inequality and how the body should consolidate or create roadmaps to prevent international inequality from continuing.

Join us on Tuesday 19th May, from 6:30pm - 9pm, in Matrix Lecture Theatre, to tackle this ongoing issue.

We know that most of you have had deadlines or exams recently, so why not come to chill, decompress with some less competitive games, and share some chill drinks with your fellow delegates. We’ll be running some slightly unconventional games, such as “Wiki Race”, alongside just being a space to relax, drink, and socialise. 🛋

We're excited to announce our final Crisis of the year, The Mexican Revolution! 🇲🇽

The date is the 6th December 1914, and Mexico is slipping into a civil war. Only earlier this year, a vast coalition of rebel groups combined to force out dictator General Huerta. However, this coalition has now split - with bloody consequences.

With the stability-craving, liberal Constitutionalists, and the radical, loosely-organised Conventionalists facing off against each other, with the threat of foreign powers lurking in the wings, Mexico’s future has never been more uncertain.

Join us on Wednesday 27th May, from 10:45am - 6pm, in Baring Court 128 (St Luke's Campus), to play your part in deciding history!

We’re excited to announce our ExMUN Annual General Meeting of the 25/26 year!

The AGM is the perfect chance to enact change within the society, allowing members to propose and vote on amendments to ExMUN’s constitution. It also allows this year’s committee to show off all the hard work they’ve done over their tenures. We highly encourage all ExMUN members to attend if you can.
