Specialising in Junior Coaching, Bobby run's weekly classes for all level of Junior Golfer at Glenbervie Golf Club. Bobby's coaching philosophy centre's on creating young golfing athlete's. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Par 3 Championship on Friday night and the Pros Day today.

It was brilliant to see the course and the clubhouse so busy over both days. The food from McEwan's Family Bakers went down a treat.

Nostalgic Post

I can't quite believe this. It is 20 years ago to the day that I reached the semi-final of the Mens Scottish Amateur Championship at The Nairn Golf Club.

The format was slightly different then as it was straight matchplay, with 264 players starting out, I've always been proud to have reached the final 4 that week.

Match-play was definitely my favourite format as a young golfer.

Unfortunately in the semi-final I ran into one of the finest amateur golfers I was lucky to play against, Kevin McAlpine. Kevin won the matchplay title and then went on to win the Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship the year after which is a unique achievement.

Good luck today to the 2 lads from Stirlingshire who remain in this year's event.

Loads going on this week at Falkirk Golf Club

- Friday 31st of July - Par 3 Championship (using the front 9 of the main course). Open to All, come along for a fun filled night. We even have a dedicated party hole. Roll up anytime from 6pm onwards. £5 entry for members and £10 for guests.

- Saturday 1st of Aug - 2026 Pros Day - limited availability left. Teams of 4 players, £80 a team which includes food.

- Kids Junior Summer Camps - we still have a few spaces in both our younger camps from 10 - 12 and our older camps from 1 - 4 throughout this week. Drop me a message to get involved.
