Student Mentors are current students at Falmouth who aim to offer guidance and support to new students before they arrive and during their first year of study. Each new student is assigned a Student Mentor who has already experienced the first year of their course or subject. Student Mentors aim to make your entry into Higher Education as smooth as possible, so are here to help you find answers to
questions you might have during your first year. This could be something as simple as the times of buses in Falmouth. Alternatively it could be something relating to a housing issue, a problem with your studies, homesickness… whatever the issue your mentor will be able to help, or know a member of staff of a support agency who can! How do I find my Mentor? We aim to contact all incoming 1st year undergraduates before the start of term, but if by then you still don't know who your Mentor is you can send us an email [email protected]. Find your course group where you can chat to other people about to start your course and ask the Student Mentors your questions about Falmouth... the Mentors are all students that have done the 1st year of your course so they know what it’s like here!
