👀Big Announcement Coming Soon…👀

We have a great group of pupils getting their uniforms ready to start with us for a new academic year. Some of our pupils value that extra help and support. Unfortunately the Education Authority have had some delays in getting the support staff in place, so if you have the appropriate training/qualifications and could temporarily work as a Learning Support Assistant to help guide our young pupils through this important change to 'big school', then please contact our school office on 02889521279.
Please share as widely as you can!

With the start of school coming fast upon us, it's time to get the conversations going about school dinner choices. 🍽 Have a look at the tasty options available for our pupils. If you have hazy memories of cabbage followed by semolina and prunes...you'll be more than impressed!
We remind our families that anyone with food intolerances or allergies must complete and return a form, available from the school office, so that our canteen staff can ensure that adequate provision is made.

We are delighted to announce a fantastic array of GCSE results, with pupils in both Years 11 and 12 achieving academic success. The Board of Governors, Principal, and staff have expressed their pride and joy at the achievements of this dedicated group of young people. 🎓🎓🎓
This cohort of pupils experienced lockdowns in both P6 and P7, to see them flourish now and reach their potential is simply wonderful!
Throughout the current academic year, students demonstrated resilience, determination, and a strong work ethic, which has now been rewarded with impressive results across a wide range of subjects. Their success is a reflection not only of their own commitment but also of the high-quality teaching provided by our dedicated staff and the unwavering support of parents and guardians.
Principal Mrs Allen commented, “We are incredibly proud of all our students. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, the expertise and dedication of our teaching staff, and the vital encouragement from families at home. This partnership between school and home continues to be a cornerstone of our success.”
Fivemiletown College looks forward to welcoming many of our Year 12 students back into Sixth Form, where they will continue their educational journey and build on the strong foundation they have established. Amongst them are our top student Jack Watson with 2A*s and 7As and Molly Kenwell, top girl at GCSE Level, with a Distinction*, 7As and 1B. 🤩🤩
For those moving on to further education, apprenticeships, or entering the world of work, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for the future. 👏👏👏

Fivemiletown College is proud to announce a wonderful set of A Level and BTEC results for its Year 14 students, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. The school community is thrilled to celebrate the achievements of these young people, whose dedication and perseverance have truly paid off. We are particularly delighted to see each student progress to their chosen course in Higher Education or employment, and this year a quarter of our group are embarking on Higher Level Apprenticeships, combining work and study, the best of both worlds!
This year’s results reflect the remarkable efforts of our pupils, whose hard work and commitment to their studies have been outstanding. Their success has been supported every step of the way by the high-quality teaching delivered by our passionate and skilled staff, and by the unwavering encouragement of support staff, parents and carers. It is very much a team effort with the pupils at the centre of all that we do.
The Board of Governors, Principal and staff at Fivemiletown College have expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments. “These results are a testament to the strength of our school community,” said Mrs Allen, school principal. “When pupils, teachers, and families work together, great things happen. As our Year 14 students prepare to take their next steps we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the future. Their achievements today lay a strong foundation for tomorrow’s successes.”
Take a few minutes to look at our photographs and see the variety of courses and jobs that our students are progressing to, it's incredible to see such confidence and excitement for the future in our young people.
Everyone in the Fivemiletown College community joins in celebrating this momentous occasion. Well done to all!

Before we get caught up with A Level results tomorrow, we thought it a good time to mention another award. We are delighted to learn that our very own Eryn Kirkpatrick is a finalist for the Youth Community Champion of the Year from the Impartial Reporter. Barra Best, the well know BBC Northern Ireland weather presenter, will be hosting the Community Champion Awards on 3 September, with the finalists in each section all gathered to see who will be crowned Champion. Eryn is a wonderful advocate for the blind and partially sighted. Her recent campaign for audio description availability for films had her mingling with none other than Oscar winning actress, Kate Winslet. Eryn is about to commence her GCSE studies as she enters Year 11, but we'll try and ease off on the homework that evening so that she can fully enjoy her awards ceremony! 🤩🏆📚💻
